Project Description

Science does not stand still. Every hour humanity makes new discoveries, invent new things, machines, items.

Biology does not stand still too. A breakthrough in medicine and genetic engineering in recent years change our life so rapidly, that no one can stay aside. Scientists already know how to clone animals, deduce new special types of plants, carry out very complex surgeries, rejuvenate the body and even grow organs.

Genetically modified food or artificially created, has recently become very popular both among the producers of the food industry, and among the people of our planet. But, unfortunately, their properties are still insufficiently studied and there is no singe opinion (whether it is good or not). Nevertheless, many people, for example, like sweets, but they do not even think about that the same candy contains many colouring agents and flavor enhancers, and the frequent use of them have a negative impact on our health. They do not even know that there are many natural candies, which are not only tastes good, but also very healthy.

The purpose of my project - promoting a healthy and natural foods. The work presents the same "natural candies" - products of beekeeping. It's not just honey and propolis. It is also a lot of other delicious and healthy food and one can find more information about it in my work.

Inspiration

The project is based on scientific work and research conducted by me for over a year and a half. In fact, an extensive amount of work has been done to gather the information about products of beekeeping, about the state of the health of the citizens in my country (Ukraine), about their diet and what they would like to change in it. There were also polls of schoolchildren and their parents about their awareness of the bee products as a part of research.

On the basis of all relevant information I had made interesting conclusions.

The work won third place in the All-Ukrainian breeders' competition.

And it all started with an ordinary school essay...

Who will enjoy this the most?

In my opinion this kind of research can make a little step in a big journey toward improving a quality of our life and making it more healthy and hence enjoyable.

Children know that honey is tasty and sweet, many adults simply adore it. Someone admires bees as a very interesting species with a clear hierarchy of the colony ( me, for example :)). Bee keepers are those who can say, that it is just a top of the iceberg. If you want to know a little more, no matter what your age (seven or seventy seven), you can start with my project!

This is a webpage where I posted some text and video materials. The project itself is in presentation. I made it with OpenOffice.org Impress and converted ODP in PPT and PDF.

На этой веб-стринице я разместил некоторый текстовый и видео материал. Основная часть проекта - презентация, созданная в OpenOffice.org Impress и конвертирована из ODP в PPT и PDF.
