Digital Open Achievements

In addition to the great prizes you can win for your projects, we've created a bunch of other achievements you can earn just by playing around with the site and interacting with other community members. Below is a key to the various achievement badges you will see on user profiles and how you can earn them. We may even create more add more as the community grows, so stay tuned!

Digital Visionary
Digital Visionaries have shared their thoughts about the importance of free and open technology as an essay, using text, video, sketches, and more to articulate their thoughts.

Digital Scribe
Digital Scribes have posted at least five notes to their profiles. Their notes are thoughtful, creative, and talk about the principles of free and open technology or the innovation process.

Digital Whiz
To become a Digital Whiz, ace the multiple choice quiz about free and open technology. You can find the quiz by going to My Digital Open and clicking on My Quizzes. You will only be able to take this quiz once in a 24-hour period, so if you don't get them all right the first time, don't be discouraged! Try again tomorrow!

Feedback Phenom
Feedback Phenoms are extra social community members who engage others through comments. Feedback Phenoms' comments on users' posts and projects are especially insightful, encouraging, or helpful.

Future Maker
Future Makers are the Digital Open's young innovators. They have entered at least one project in the Digital Open.

Super Connector
Super Connectors believe in collaboration and teamwork. They have teamed up with another Digital Open member to create and submit a project.

Extreme Innovator
The Extreme Innovator achievement badges will only be earned at the end of the Digital Open and will go to those community members whose projects the judges select as category winners!
